A field research will be carried out in order to gather information about our target groups knowlegde, ICT competences, literacy skills and their awareness regarding the academic environment. In the second part a desk research will be carried out to define the academic vocabolary, terminologies and overall academic requirements of each partner country.
This project will develop a 2D serious game based on the gamification principles and tailored to the needs of our target group and of each country's higher education system.
The enhanced beta version of the Game, as deriving from the previous output, will be put into testing and will be piloted by our target groups, the project’s experts and by other relevant stakeholders on the field.
Three multiplier events will take place Belgium, Greece and Turkey. The main objective is to present the game and how it has been developed, along with all other project results and to further iniate a dialogue about alternative forms of education and training.
The kick-off Steering Committee meeting of project Next STEP took place in Thessaloniki, Greece during the 26th and 27th of November 2018, where each partner’s representatives had the opportunity to formally introduce themselves and their organizations.

Our 2nd Transnational Project Meeting took place in Stockholm, Sweden during 4-5 June, 2019. Participants from all partner organizations presented the country reports (IO1). We decided the format of the game. Thank you Medborgarskolan for the organization!

Our 3rd Transnational Project Meeting took place in Lillehammer, Norway during 13-14 February, 2020. Participants from all partner organizations had the opportunity to discuss the progress of the project, and especially the development of the Game, and plan the future activities. Thank you Inland Norway University for the organization!
The 4th Transnational Project Meeting had to take place online instead of in Belgium due to the pandemic.
During this meeting the latest improvements for the game were discussed. The final result of the game is now available on this website.
